The Duchess of Cambridge visited Tommy's National Centre in London
On October 14, 2020, The Duchess of Cambridge visited the London research centre to hear about the work that the national charity Tommy's is doing to reduce rates of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. During the visit, Her Royal Highness heard first-hand from families about their experiences of baby loss and the lasting impact it has had on their lives.
The visit comes during Baby Loss Awareness week as these charities play a pivotal role in helping those affected by the death of a baby, providing expert information and support to families at every stage of their pregnancy. Tommy's are the UK's leading pregnancy charity and exists to support every baby. Sands is the leading stillbirth and neonatal death charity in the UK.
