The Duchess of Cornwall visited Ivydale Primary School in London
On September 8, 2020, International Literacy Day, The Duchess of Cornwall visited Ivydale Primary School in London and there, she met with students taking part in fun reading activities. The Duchess visited the school’s new library aiming to use the power of stories to excite, inspire and educate its students, personnel and the wider community.
The Duchess of Cornwall is patron of The National Literacy Trust. A research from The National Literacy Trust shows that almost 1 in 4 children did not have access to print books of their own or library books during the coronavirus lockdown.
