On Thursday evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the gala evening of the King Baudouin Foundation held as a charity event at the restaurant Boury in Roeselare. The visit was not announced before. It was purely a private visit.
The Royal Couple was welcomed by Governor Decaluwe, Mayor Kris Declercq and Chairman Patrick Maselis. The King Baudouin Foundation was founded in 1976 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of King Baudouin's reign and has been under the honorary Presidency of Queen Mathilde since 2015.
